Continuation of award-winning national model for co-locating housing, healthcare, and social services

CAMBA Gardens Phase II (CGII) builds upon CHV’s national model for a partnership between a public hospital, nonprofit developer, and supportive services provider. Both phases present a unique and transformative opportunity to provide affordable housing, streamline healthcare services for tenants, provide revenue for adjacent businesses, and continue established relationships with the hospital and community. Co-locating housing with healthcare and CAMBA’s uplifting social services creates a critical connection for special needs tenants to lead healthy, full lives.

CGII provides more than 40 permanent jobs for the local economy and during construction generated 159 jobs for Brooklyn residents through more than $31 million in contracts awarded to Brooklyn-based contractors. This project requires less energy and produces fewer greenhouse gas emissions due to CHV’s investment in a rooftop solar array, healthy indoor air quality, non-toxic finishes, and a variety of green spaces for all ages.
