The community space at CAMBA Gardens II (CGII) was utilized by CHV’s partners, NYC Health + Hospitals and Kings County Hospital Center (KCHC), to host a three-day leadership workshop aimed at improving telemetry processes for the healthcare network. Subject matter experts gathered in CGII’s meeting room to develop action plans that ensure patient safety and high value care for the large hospital system.
The gathering of healthcare executives in CGII’s meeting room highlights the ongoing benefits affordable housing provides to communities. This multi-functional space allowed community leaders to gather with the intention of improving outcomes for their patients. CHV’s affordable and supportive housing developments are woven into the fabric of the neighborhood. Our buildings offer space to tenants, partners, and community groups to come together to find solutions for a better tomorrow.
It was fitting to hold this patient-centric event at CGII as we believe housing is healthcare. CGII is the implementation of a national model for co-locating housing and healthcare by developing affordable and supportive housing on underutilized hospital property. CAMBA Gardens I and II are a unique partnership with KCHC and NYC Health + Hospitals that created sustainable, transit-oriented, affordable, and supportive new construction developments with a combined 502 units for low-income New Yorkers. We are grateful for our partnership with KCHC and NYC Health + Hospitals, which continues to support healthy and thriving communities.
