Governor Cuomo Announces CAMBA Housing Ventures as one of Vital Brooklyn’s 100 Percent Affordable Housing RFP Winners

Governor Andrew M. Cuomo has announced CAMBA Housing Ventures, Inc. as one of four winning proposals that will collectively create affordable homes in central Brooklyn. CAMBA Housing Ventures (CHV) will develop “Interfaith Broadway: Site C” in Bedford-Stuyvesant as part of Governor Cuomo’s Vital Brooklyn’s affordable housing initiative. CHV is honored for this opportunity to implement its award-winning design excellence and repurpose One Brooklyn Health underutilized hospital property into much-needed affordable housing. CHV will transform Site C, located at 1038 Broadway, into 57 units of sustainable, supportive and affordable housing for formerly homeless individuals and families including the frail elderly, and units affordable to a variety of income levels. Site C will include One Brooklyn Health healthcare spaces, onsite CAMBA, Inc. services, and resident amenities including tenant gardening, fitness spaces and a community facility annex providing workforce development and access to CAMBA’s 160 programs. CHV looks forward to another successful partnership with Gov. Cuomo and the Department of Homes and Community Renewal (HCR) to create affordable housing opportunities in Central Brooklyn.
