Workforce housing for low-income and formerly-unhoused individuals

Morris Manor was CHV’s first new construction development and is now 100% CHV-owned, having completed its Year 15 LIHTC investor exit process. The $8 million public-private investment created 46 homes for low-income community members and formerly unhoused individuals with a disability.

Morris Manor transformed a long-vacant and underutilized City-owned lot into an attractive neighborhood asset and established a high standard for affordable housing in Brooklyn. The development provides fully-furnished studio apartments in a beautiful energy-efficient building. Tenants have a safe and permanent home, complete with CAMBA’s onsite supportive services and a landscaped rear garden with Shona sculptures from Zimbabwe. The building’s lighting, security cameras, and 24/7 front desk security increase public safety for tenants and the community. Morris Manor is located close to major public transportation and neighborhood amenities.
