Partnership Development: Mixed-use new construction of affordable and supportive housing
Formerly called Gateway Elton II, the Alan Epstein Apartments — which are part of the Gateway Elton three-phase development project — were named in honor of Alan Epstein, an attorney and leader in affordable housing. The development was created in partnership with Hudson and now offers a sprawling campus for affordable and supportive housing mixed with retail space. The project consists of three newly-constructed buildings encompassing 175 affordable housing units and 24,000 square feet of ground floor/cellar retail space for a total of 202,900 square feet of new construction. It features 275,000 watts of solar photovoltaics and the highest level of energy efficiency and chemical free materials in affordable housing.
